Running Together for Nature at the WWF Corporate Run #run4nature
The Börsenverein Group is teaming up to collect kilometers in May
In May 2026, several employees of the Börsenverein Group laced up their running shoes. Some ran together, others on their own, but all for the same cause.
Why the WWF? Because environmental protection concerns us all
Our runners have successfully participated in company runs in previous years. This year, we wanted to try something new and decided to take part in the WWF’s #run4nature company run for the first time. The idea behind it was as simple as it was wonderful: The focus wasn’t on personal bests or the pressure to perform, but on camaraderie and having fun. Every kilometer run or walked was converted into donations that the WWF invests in specific nature conservation projects. The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) works worldwide to protect habitats and biodiversity and helps preserve resources for future generations.
The corporate run operated on a flexible basis: whether running or walking 2.5, 5, or 10 kilometers—alone or as a team, at any time of day, anywhere. For us, this was an opportunity to actively support environmental protection while coming together as a team.
The Route Along the Main River—and What Came Next
One group set off directly from the Haus des Buches in Frankfurt. The route took them at a leisurely pace along the Main River toward the ECB, then along the Sachsenhäuser Ufer and back across the Eiserner Steg.
Sebastian from MVB’s IT Development team was there and recalls: “It was a beautiful day. We started off at a relaxed pace, the run was full of good cheer, and afterward we sat together and enjoyed each other’s company.”
These are the moments that linger in our memories beyond the daily grind.
Not everyone was able to be there in person that day. Sina and Johanna from Mediacampus Frankfurt ran together on their own and reported: “The kilometers flew by—and we had a great time doing it.” Shortly before the finish line, an unexpected uphill stretch awaited them, which really put them to the test. But the two of them conquered it with plenty of fun and their fundraising goal in mind.
295 euros for specific environmental protection measures
Every kilometer run counted—no matter when or where. In total, 295 euros were raised, which, in addition to the participation fees, will support specific WWF environmental conservation efforts.
Our conclusion: Team building can be done differently—it can be athletic, entertaining, and for a good cause.
