Retrospective to the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2025

The Börsenverein group at the #fbm25

For five days, everyone who matters in the book and media industry gathers in Frankfurt – and right in the middle of it all: us.

For our group of companies, the Frankfurter Buchmesse is the largest and most diverse event of the year. In 2025, our various stands were once again a hub for discussions, exchanges, and encounters: the Zentrum Börsenverein in Hall 4.0, the Mediacampus Azubistro in Hall 1.2, and the Livro joint exhibition in Hall 3.0. Under the motto Only at FBM, it once again became clear how unique this fair is – and how many facets our industry has.

Focus on careers

On the Saturday of the fair, the Young Professionals Day focused on careers. In her keynote speech, our colleague Susanne Breuer talked about courage and resilience – and how both help you find your own way in the book industry.

Franziska Horn was also on stage and took part in the speed dating session that followed. She presented her job as a data manager at MVB and showed how exciting data-driven work in the book industry can be. The direct exchange with students, young professionals, and industry experts led to many inspiring conversations and new contacts.

Career discussions at the booth

At the Azubistro and our booth in Hall 4.0, the focus was also on career entry and further training. Our colleagues from Mediacampus and the Human Resources department provided insights into the diversity of our group of companies as well as career paths and training opportunities. Whether it was spontaneous questions, specific application concerns, or simply curiosity about the industry – there was a great deal of interest.

Right in the middle of the trade fair action

For everyone working behind the scenes and on site, the days at the fair were once again a period of intense activity – in the best possible sense. There was planning, organizing, photographing, writing, reporting, networking, and negotiating. The focus was always on capturing the fair experiences, maintaining contacts, initiating new collaborations, and gathering ideas for future projects.

A big thank you goes to all our colleagues whose commitment helped make our trade fair appearance so lively and diverse – and, of course, to the team of Frankfurter Buchmesse, whose organization and passion create the framework for this special industry gathering year after year.

Exchange, encounters, love for the industry

Whether over coffee between two appointments, during a quick stop at the booth, or in the halls full of books—everywhere you go, you can feel why we do what we do. The 2025 trade fair has once again shown how vibrant, diverse, and future-oriented the industry is—and how important it remains to stay in dialogue with one another.

As we all know, after the fair is before the fair – we are already looking forward to Leipzig 2026!
