Training completed: Olivia's career leap into the VLB-TIX team
As a trained Management Assistant for Digital and Print Media, she joined the product management team at VLB-TIX.

It is not always clear from the outset where your career journey will take you. Olivia talks about how interests develop, self-confidence grows, and step by step, a perspective for the future emerges during training.
“Not long ago, I completed the second block of vocational school at Mediacampus Frankfurt, and in the blink of an eye, my training is already over,” says Olivia. She spent two and a half years at MVB training as a digital and print media specialist and acquired a great deal of knowledge.
In January, the time had finally come. She was able to successfully apply her theoretical knowledge in the written exam, and the practical knowledge she gained from her everyday work proved extremely helpful in the oral exam. “My assignment was related to advertising sales. My time in the media department was particularly helpful for this topic, as I was able to accompany my colleagues to the Leipzig Book Fair and experience advertising sales firsthand.”
The highlights of Olivia's training include not only the four book fairs she was able to experience in various departments. She particularly enjoyed working in the digital division, where she was able to get a taste of marketing and product management (PM), among other things. This is also where her journey as a working student is now beginning.
"I had wanted to study after completing my training for quite some time. I found the work in the marketing department and the classes on campus particularly exciting. So it was only natural that I wanted to deepen my knowledge in the bachelor's degree program in marketing," says Olivia. When the opportunity arose to support the VLB-TIX team in product management as a working student, she didn't hesitate and accepted the offer.
“I didn't see myself in product management during my training. Not because I found it uninteresting, but because I didn't think I was capable of it,” Olivia admits, “but that's proof once again that you develop over time, learn new things, and shouldn't underestimate yourself.”
She describes product management as a small world unto itself: it's all about the requirements and needs of users and the further development of the product and the technology behind it. “I really like VLB-TIX as a product, which makes it fun to work on. My colleagues are super patient, helpful, and incredibly nice. You never feel like you're asking too many questions.” That's why she's really looking forward to her new tasks at the digital track information system VLB-TIX.
Looking back, the training was one thing above all else for Olivia: a starting point. For new tasks, growing responsibility, and the courage to venture into roles that she wouldn't have dared to take on herself at first.
We're delighted that you're still part of the MVB family, Olivia!
